The AM2011 houses a 0.3 megapixel digital camera and offers 10x-200x magnification at 640x480 resolution. It contains 4 always-on LED lights and provides live imaging via USB 2.0 and the included DinoCapture software. If more illumination is required, we recommend upgrading to the AM3011 with 8 LED lights or the AM3011T with 8 LED lights and Microtouch technology which allows instant capture of photos and video by simply touching the top of the unit.

In our opinion a key feature is the excellent color resolution which is unparalleled at this price point. It is better than most, more expensive digital microscopes and is achieved by use of a sophisticated jeweler's color balance. The focus mechanism is intriguing. This auto focus circular fisheye lens has an angle of view of 180 degrees in all directions. It is exclusively designed for digital SLR cameras with the APS-C size image sensor.
